We’ve always been told breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If I’m playing favorites, though, I’m all about lunch. While you might not think a small town like Breckenridge could have a thriving food scene, it definitely does. There are tons of amazing lunch spots in Breckenridge that offer just about everything you could want after a morning of carving through fresh powder on the mountain. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy burger and a cold beer or a bowl of soup and a refreshing salad, the restaurants below have all of your cravings covered.
Nothing hits the spot like a slice of pizza. Make that two slices of cheese and a soda, please! Giampietro’s is one of my go-to lunch spots in Breckenridge when I’m in the mood for a carb party. This authentic Italian eatery has a cozy, relaxed vibe complete with red and white checkered tablecloths. Their pizza slices are thin, but huge. It’s also fun to build your own charcuterie board with Giampietro’s selection of cheeses and cured meats.
This burger joint seriously has the best burger in Summit County! My go-to is what I call the local’s lunch: a burger, fries, and a beer. Whether you like your patty topped with ketchup and mustard or ham, pineapple, and firecracker sauce, you’re going to love the variety of flame-grilled goodness Empire Burger has to offer. Don’t forget to order your fries with a side of queso for dipping.

Breckenridge Brewery is one of the best lunch spots in Breckenridge – hands down. They have an impressive beer selection, great food, and stunning views of the mountains from the outdoor patio. The burger at Breckenridge Brewery ranks up there with Empire Burger – I can’t choose a favorite! When I’m ravenous after a morning of skiing or hiking, I love to munch on a burger with soup or salad and wash it down with a frosty brew. If you want to make an afternoon of it, happy hour kicks off at 3 p.m. with $2 off all full-size draft pours.

Opens for lunch at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and for brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday & Sunday
My husband and I have had a standing Friday lunch date for fifteen years (and counting), and Blue River Bistro is a favorite for both of us. This spot has amazing “eclectic-American” food all-around, but we always get the chicken sandwich - best enjoyed sitting at the bar.
