Fourth of July in Breckenridge is kind of a big deal. Our little town really pulls out all the stops. From a hometown parade, to a trail run and mountain bike race, to barbecue and beer, the day is chock full of fun. Oh, and I can’t forget the main event! Celebrate Fourth of July in Breckenridge
Independence Day 10K Trail Run | 7am
Kick off your Fourth of July in Breckenridge with a scenic trail run through Summit County’s beautiful landscape. The Independence Day 10K Trail Run finishes just in time to catch the Main Street parade and enjoy the other festivities in town. The race is limited to 500 people and it usually sells out, so register now!
Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race | 9:30am
Mountain bikers can get in on the Independence Day action, too. You can ride solo or as part of a two-person relay in the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race. There are different categories for age and experience level to even the playing field. Riders as young as 12 years old on race day can participate as part of a team! Click here to register.
Main Street Parade | Kick-off at 10am
It wouldn’t be Fourth of July in Breckenridge without a parade. The parade officially starts at 10am after the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race clears Main Street. Don’t forget to wear your red, white and blue!
Arts District | 10am – 1pm
If you’re not too zonked from all the fun, trek to the Breckenridge Arts District for a celebration of art, complete with immersive art experiences. There will be live music and plenty of activities - like a slam poetry contest and a dog fashion show!
41st Annual July Arts Festival | 10am – 5pm
Enjoy this nationally ranked fine art festival, open Thursday, July 4th through Saturday, July 6th. This festival is family-friendly, and artists will be present to answer questions and do demonstrations.
Fourth of July Spectacular: National Repertory Orchestra | 6pm
End the days’ festivities with an evening of musical brilliance, performed by the National Repertory Orchestra. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
