Many people wait until spring to sell their homes when the market is already saturated. By getting ahead of the curve and listing this fall, your house is guaranteed to stand out. Plus, according to NAR’s latest Existing Home Sales Report, inventory is super low at a 4.7-month supply. With so few homes available, sale prices are up – another plus for sellers.
- Fall colors provide gorgeous curb appeal
You already know that fall is the most beautiful time of year in Breckenridge. So, why not use the brilliant autumn foliage to your advantage? Clean up your yard, place potted mums and marigolds on your front steps and hang a festive wreath on your front door. Voila! Instant curb appeal.
- There’s never been a better time to move up
Do you plan to move into a more expensive house? We suggest selling your current property and buying that luxury home ASAP. According to data from CoreLogic, home prices are projected to increase 5.3% over the next year. If you wait, you’ll likely end up spending quite a bit more for the same property.
- The holidays aren’t here – yet
Not only is there a lot less competition right now, homes are selling faster than usual, creating an ideal situation for sellers. Half of the properties that sold in July were on the market for 36 days or less. To put this in perspective, Thanksgiving is still more than 10 weeks away. That’s plenty of time to sell your house and get settled into a new one before Turkey Day.
