When you’re planning to spend all day on the mountain, it doesn’t always make sense to trek home and prepare a mid-day meal. It’s a lot more convenient (and fun) to pop into one of the many restaurants in Breckenridge that promise a delicious and satisfying lunch. With so many options, it can be hard to know which local eateries are worth your while. As Breckenridge locals, we’ve tried every restaurant in town and have a few we always recommend to family, friends, and clients. Below, we’ve listed the best places for lunch in Breckenridge whether you’re traveling solo or dining out as a group.
5 Best Places for Lunch in Breckenridge
- Blue River Bistro
Blue River Bistro is one of our all-time favorite places for lunch in Breckenridge. Their lunch menu has a great selection of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers and they’re consistently phenomenal. While not currently available due to COVID restrictions, Blue River Bistro typically has an amazing lunch special if you sit at the bar: a burger or sandwich and a beer for a super reasonable price. We’ll be sure to update you when the lunch special returns! Stay and enjoy the ambiance and incredible service, or call ahead and pick up your lunch to go. Due to limited seating, dine-in reservations are highly recommended.
BoLD is a gem of a brunch and lunch restaurant in Breckenridge right on Main Street. Their brunch menu has familiar favorites like chicken and waffles and avocado toast, while the lunch menu is Mediterranean-inspired; think falafel, lamb meatballs, and Greek salad. Not sure what to order? The Meze Board is a perfect way to sample multiple dishes on one platter. Last but not least, we can’t send you to BoLD without mentioning their incredible Bloody Marys. On Sundays they have a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar with a wide variety of housemade pickles and over 100 local hot sauces.
- Giampietro Pasta and Pizza
If you’re looking to carb load ahead of an adrenaline-pumping afternoon on the mountain, your search for an incredible lunch in Breckenridge starts and ends at Giampietro. The restaurant is known for its fresh and delicious pastas and pizzas, and everything on the menu is made in-house. Giampietro is great for families; they have an impressive kid’s menu with plenty of tasty options for picky eaters. The restaurant also has a full bar, including some fabulous wines on tap. Giampietro is open for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery – you need to try their pizza at least once this season!
- Amazing Grace
For a light and healthy lunch in Breckenridge, Amazing Grace has you covered with fresh ingredients and delicious, organic coffee. Our favorite is the Turkey Veggie sandwich, which is made to order and stuffed with turkey, mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, carrot, zucchini, and sprouts. It’s a huge sandwich (served with tortilla chips), so you can either share it with a friend or save half for later. If you ask nicely, they may let you order a half sandwich! Amazing Grace is situated just one block from downtown Breck and is open from 7am to 3pm every day.
- Quandary Grille
Unlike many of the fabulous places to get lunch in Breckenridge, Quandary Grille is set back from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. The patio has some of the best vistas in Breck with amazing views of Peaks 8, 9 and 10, as well as Maggie Pond. Quandary Grille is walking distance from the Peak 9 Quicksilver chairlift, making it a super convenient place to pop in for a sandwich and beer after a morning on the mountain. The restaurant takes online reservations, which can be really helpful on busy afternoons when you’re too hungry to wait for a table.
